    Fort Edwards Bird Walk w/ Dr. George Constantz

    Dr. George Constantz, author of “Hollows, Peepers, and Highlanders…” will lead this free hike. We will meet at the Fort Edwards Visitor Center at 7 AM. The hike will last 1 1/2-2 hours. (It will be easy for you to leave early if needed.)
    Springtime in the morning is one of the most fabulous times for birding, sights and the sounds of the forest coming to life. Whether you’re an experienced birder or a curious observer this will be an event not to miss. If it is really wet, we may need to relocate. So stay tuned.

    Christmas Festival of Lights Lighting Ceremony

    Ho ho ho! The 11th Annual Christmas Festival of Lights is coming to Augusta, and we’re kicking it off in style with the Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m. Join us at the amphitheater in Afton and Pauline Malick Central Hampshire Park, Augusta, West Virginia for a jolly good time!

    At 5:30 p.m. we’ll light up the sky with the grand lighting of the giant Christmas tree – the highlight of the evening. But that’s not all! We’ll also be serving up some delicious free coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies to all our merry guests. And don’t forget to bring along an ornament to help decorate the official Christmas Festival of Lights Christmas Tree.

    And the fun doesn’t stop there! Santa Claus himself will be stopping by to greet kids of all ages. So, whether you’re young or young at heart, come along and join the festive spirit.

    The Festival will continue spreading the Christmas cheer until January 1, opening daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Make sure to bring your loved ones and soak up the magical holiday atmosphere!
