Christmas Festival of Lights Lighting Ceremony
Ho ho ho! The 11th Annual Christmas Festival of Lights is coming to Augusta, and we’re kicking it off in style with the Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 25 at 5:00 p.m. Join us at the amphitheater in Afton and Pauline Malick Central Hampshire Park, Augusta, West Virginia for a jolly good time!
At 5:30 p.m. we’ll light up the sky with the grand lighting of the giant Christmas tree – the highlight of the evening. But that’s not all! We’ll also be serving up some delicious free coffee, hot chocolate, and cookies to all our merry guests. And don’t forget to bring along an ornament to help decorate the official Christmas Festival of Lights Christmas Tree.
And the fun doesn’t stop there! Santa Claus himself will be stopping by to greet kids of all ages. So, whether you’re young or young at heart, come along and join the festive spirit.
The Festival will continue spreading the Christmas cheer until January 1, opening daily from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Make sure to bring your loved ones and soak up the magical holiday atmosphere!
Christmas in the Wildwood
We used to go caroling “around the neighborhood.” Then some of us got old. So… we get together at the church and sing some of the old Christmas favorites. We’ll break for refreshments at 8. But we’ll try and stick around until we sing your favorites,. Please invite your friends and family.

Welcome to the 2021 Christmas Craft Bazaar!
Saturday December 4th, 2021. 9am-6pm, at the Bottling Works in Romney, WV.Support local vendors and enjoy a fun day of shopping for crafts & handmade/homemade gifts.
Plan to take part in one of many Christmas crafting workshops through-out the day!
Kids will also have an opportunity to take part in a free craft as well!

The River House Singers Choir Practice-Open to All!
The River House Singers are returning to The River House to get ready for the holidays! Practices will take place in the Otters Den, a heated, enclosed outdoor space with nice air circulation. Will perform holiday songs at the Capon Bridge tree lighting in December.

Christmas Shop for Tots
We all know that excited feeling of giving a gift to someone we think they will love. Sometimes we forget that our little ones like that feeling, too. This year Eastern Building Supply is once again setting up a Christmas Shop for tots.
This is an opportunity for children to come in and buy a gift for mom & dad, grandma & grandpa, brother & sister or anyone they may have on their list. There are several items to choose from under $5.00. The price on the tag will be what they pay; we’ll take care of the sales tax. We have gift bags with name tags to put their gifts in, ready to go under the tree.
While we want to take some time to focus on children, Eastern Building Supply continues to work to maintain the confidence of our customers. We are always looking for ways to improve our product line, our displays and our customer service anyway we can. Your continued support allows us to be able to give back to the community. There is no way we can express our appreciation for our wonderful customers.

We have gift bags with name tags to put their gifts in, ready to go under the tree. We also have goody bags for the little shoppers. There will be extra help that day to assist with the purchases. There is no age limit and adults can find great stocking stuffer ideas, also.

Set up and Decorate the Festival of Trees
This is the designated decorating time for those who have adopted trees for The Festival of Trees.
The Festival of Trees will be displayed on the lawn of the Courthouse Annex Building. You will find beautifully decorated trees donated and decorated by local businesses, schools, civil groups and individuals. Winterfest and the Festival of Trees is open to everyone!
