Fort Edwards Family Frontier Day
Bring the family, friends and dads on this Saturday before Father’s Day, June 14th 10 am to 4pm for the Fort Edwards’ annual “Family Frontier Day”.
Nestled in the scenic Capon Bridge WV along the Cacapon River, experience a day of fun for the entire family.
Join us as we pay homage to our forefathers like George Washington and Daniel Morgan. Walk the grounds that once stood George Washington’s “Fort Edwards”.
The event is free for all and kicks off at 10am featuring French and Indian War encampment followed by battle reenactments at 11.30am and 1pm.
Family activities include Youth Archery, Carriage Rides, Period Artisans, Farmers Market and Hampshire County Long Rifles display.
Take a river walk on our Interpretive Walking Trails, visit our Colonial Garden or investigate our Mock Fort.
Refreshments will be available.
Thank you to this year’s “Colonial Sponsors”, the Hampshire County Community Foundation, The Bank of Romney, SJ Morse Company and F&B Bank.
Just ¼ mile north of town on Cold Stream Road, look for signs at the intersection of Rt 50 and Coldstream Road.
