Tuesday Night Old Time Jams happen on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month from 6-8PM at The Cat and The Fiddle.

Founded in Aug 2017 by Dakota Karper, the Capon Bridge Old Time Jam is a jam welcoming old time musicians of all skill levels and backgrounds with the intention of creating a welcoming, imaginative, joyful and safe space to share music. Players, Dancers and Listeners are all welcome. BYOB or your favorite drink of choice. Acoustic instruments only please!

The first Capon Bridge Old Time Jam took place on Aug 19, 2017 at The River House and continued there until 2020 when it took a little break along with the rest of the world. In 2021 jams reformed and now take place on 2nd & 4th Tuesday at The Cat and The Fiddle.

The free Tiny Studio Concert Series starts again for its third series on the last Sunday in September and will continue inOctober and November. Elizabeth Podsiadlo creates these events which are sponsored by the Hampshire County Arts Council.

The September 28th Tiny Concert will offer local musiciansAnton Daub and Mike Pugh.

Anton Daub is an amateur singer/songwriter who hails from Rio, West Virginia. Originally from New Jersey where he hosted a long-running open mic and performed in various groups, he and his wife Sallie retired to beautiful Hardy County. Antonoccasionally hosts the open mic evenings at The River House in Capon Bridge. He brings to the stage an eclectic mix of acoustic guitar originals and covers.

Mike Pugh is a guitarist, band leader, and record producer based in Augusta, West Virginia. Mike founded the Northern Virginia classic rock band Standing Room Only, which performed at music venues and private parties for over 20 years in and around Washington, D.C. Mike is also president and founder of Goose Creek Music, a record label that specializes in producing live albums and music videos for nationally touring acts.

The concert will take place at 3 pm in Elizabeth Podsiadlo’s Studio, Room 206 in the Brannon Building on the WVSDB Campus in Romney, WV. After the concert, the usual wonderful reception will follow with an opportunity to meet the musicians.

Save the date: In October, Pam Francis and Friends will occupy the Tiny Studio stage for another memorable concert. November’s guest musician will be Ben Townsend.
